CEC produces plans and specifications for structures in concrete, steel or wood using the latest in structural, geotechnical and CADD software.
We are experienced with the ACI, AISC, NDS and AASHTO LRFD Codes, as well as the latest Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Design Guidelines.
CEC’s specialties include docks, piers, seawalls and other marine structures, as well as renovation designs. In addition to design-bid-build projects,
CEC has worked extensively to help contractors develop value engineering change proposals (VECP’s).

Breasting Dolphin – Strutted caisson dolphin at Florida Power and Light’s Turkey Point Fossil Plant fuel transfer facility. Client, Florida Power and Light
Aircraft Concealment Wall – Pile supported wall at Miami International Airport’s midfield fire station “penalty box” for the parking and evaluation of suspect aircraft. Client, Tarafa Construction
Miami River Bulkhead – Steel sheet pile bulkhead in 15’ of water and spanning over major AT&T duct bank. Client, FDOT
Downtown Dadeland Underground Garage – Permanent anchored sheet pile wall and tremie seal for Florida’s largest underground parking garage (300’ x 900’). Temporary cofferdam cells to allow excavation and tremie seal placement. Client, Ebsary Foundation Company
Prestress Concrete Plant –Complete design of beds and abutments on piles with steel jacking frames and yard layout. Client, DLS Prestressed
Concrete Fuel Pier – Demolish old structure in phases and design new pier for 75-year service life, including steel hose tower. Client, Florida Power and Light
Foundations for Aggregate Handling Facilities – Piled and shallow foundations for conveyors, crushers and spreaders, Miami and the Port of Jacksonville. Client, Brooks Systems, Inc.
Clevelander Hotel Basement – Permanent sheet pile walls and tremie seal for expansion of South Beach Hotel., Client, STA Architectural
